A copper band worked over an anvil until the whole surface carries a deep dimpled texture — closer to a river stone than to a polished cuff.
Each dimple is a separate strike, so no two sit at quite the same depth or angle. Light pools in them rather than running across the band, which gives the piece a softer, less reflective look than a smooth cuff.
Solid copper, not plated. The dimples darken before the high points do, so the texture gains contrast as it ages. A cloth over the raised surface brings the highlights back without flattening the depth.
